Ronda Locatelli at Atlantis

There are 17 bars and restaurants at Atlantis, during our stay we were invited for lunch at Ronda Locatelli.

Ronda Locatelli at Atlantis

My first impression of the restaurant when walking in was the sheer emphasis there had been on giving the space a really relaxed atmosphere. In a city where decadence is so highly regarded, this is not something that we had come across that much on our travels.

In fact I would go as far as to say Ronda Locatelli was the perfect mix of casual fine dining. The restaurant is dominated by the large wood fired brick oven that bellows out the smell of freshly baked bread.

Looking through the menu I was overwhelmed at the wide selection on offer, the food is not overly pretentious and it was easy to find something that I wanted for lunch. The menu changes from season to season but we were told that their are some classics that were permanently on the menu.

I ordered the Carpaccio Di Manzo and the Other Half had the Insalata Di Granchio. Having been used to Carpaccio being served in delicate slices, having a rather large slab drizzled with olive oil and pieces of parmesan cheese, was not what I was expecting but, as it was well seasoned I did not mind that much.

For the main I had to go for the pasta, it was al dente and had a rich tomato sauce with just the right amount of basil and parmesan. it felt a bit odd eating a pasta dish with it being so hot in Dubai and I wished that I had picked more wisely.

The Other Half however made the perfect choice, his seared Tuna salad was perfect for the weather as was the light and refreshing juice that he had as well.

I am not a great fan of desserts but when you are dealing with such hot temperatures they are the perfect way to end any meal.

I would say that Ronda Locatelli was by far one of the most relaxed places that we dined at whilst staying at Atlantis and had the best weekly offers.
