Easter eggs

With only a few days to go to Easter, I went in search of egg inspiration. Here’s what I found:

Delicatessen Hayley and Clifford, in Roundhay Leeds, is getting into the Easter spirit. The shop has been beautifully decorated with eggs from The Little Chocolate shop, check out the photos below and on the home page.

The Little Chocolate shop is based in Leyburn, their hand-made chocolates use only the finest ingredients.

Having had one of their famous chocolate high heels, I can tell you that you will be in for a treat if you get one of these on Sunday.

Large eggs priced at £25.

DIY Easter Egg

If you are feeling a bit creative why not make your own egg. Hobbycraft is selling Easter egg molds. Simply buy some chocolate, fill the molds with an even layer of melted chocolate and put in the fridge. Either buy some chocolates to fill the egg or have a go at making some of these salted caramel truffles.

Bon Bons in the Thorntons Arcade (Leeds city centre) is where I brought my Husband’s egg from last year. They do stock eggs on the shelf but for something a little egg-tra special (geddit) you can buy a chocolate shell and fill your egg with a variety of different truffles and chocolates.

Large eggs are prices at £34, Medium £24 and Small £16

Chocolate Masterclass

Want a professional to show you how it’s done? York Cocoa House is running a variety of Chocolate Easter egg masterclasses this week.

See their website for further information.

The Alter-EGGive option

If eggs are not your thing, fear not as Millies in Leeds have told us about these  giant chocolate cupcakes that are flying off the shelves. They are made using fairtrade chocolate by Choc affair, who are based in York.
