When staying on Oahu there are many places that you ought to go to see the beautiful landscape of the island at its best, one such place is Diamond Head.

History was one of my favourite classes at school. Although I didn’t study World War Two at A Level- opting for 16th Century and the reformation of the church (and no I don’t know why). Pearl Harbour was such a significant part of 20th century history it had always interested me.
The bombings that took place here not only acted as a catalyst for the US to enter into war but, changed the face of warfare completely, to one fought in the air and not primarily at sea.
Before coming to Honolulu we heard about the KCC farmers market that runs every Saturday morning. So, with a condo empty of all provisions, we made this our first stop.
There was a good mix of stalls selling fresh produce and food to go. We were able to pick up some fruit and veg for the week, the Other Half got some Apple Bananas, so green that they needed a good two days before they were ready to eat.
