I was loving the weather last week, it gave me the perfect opportunity for after work drinks and a couple of early dinners in town and the ‘burbs.
One sunny lunchtime I was invited to Crafthouse to sample some of the dishes on their menus.
The other half and I had sampled the delights of Angelica the bar come restaurant that sits on the top level of Trinity Leeds. At Crafthouse the focus is on the local produce they use so I was quite intrigued to sample the food.
Situated on the fifth floor at Trinity Leeds the restaurant boasts great views of the city, caters for private dining and has a chef’s table opposite the now famous Josper grill so that you can see it in action.
The large windows that cover the exterior of the restaurant makes Crafthouse a suntrap on a clear day and is ideal for a long lunch or an early dinner.
I was invited to sample the new menu at Salvo’s last week.
I have always had a soft spot for Salvo’s, it served as part of my rite of passage from being a student to becoming a young professional. It’s the kind of place you could go for a first date, a catch up with friends or a place to take your parents if they came for a visit.
Salvo’s is as imbedded in the fabric of the Headingley community now as much as it was ten years ago when I lived here.
